The first week of semester two has ended.
I only have two of the same teachers, and I am in a different group from my friends. That is kind of good for me because now I am more focused again. A teacher I had last semester pointed this out for me.
The Creative Process course is where we work on our portfolios in the end, and a course where we learn how our own creative processes work. I bought a new sketchbook for this course (I love buying new sketchbooks). I drew something cute, and stuck it on the front.
For drawing I do not know if I am going to miss my drawing teacher from last semester because this semester I have someone to make me better without being a jerk. We started off with gesture drawings, which I did in high school at some point. The teacher reminds me of my high school art teacher.
I am going to miss my 2D Design teacher but I do like the new teacher I have for 3D Design. She is very passionate about design, and is very experienced in the field. She likes to ramble off topic. I am her spell checker, and she also has a time keeper, and a person who keeps her on topic.
History is history, and it is still with the same teacher. Reading the textbook, and then going to class makes it so boring!
Jewelry, and Metal Art I have been scared for but I really think I am going to enjoy it... Everything but the torches. We cut copper in patterns, and I did really good, and I did not break the saw blade which is incredibly thin, and tiny.
Textiles is going to be so much fun. I am making a silk, and felted scarf, and did the felting process today from wool. I am super excited to make scarves.
Textiles I am somewhat excited for.
I am going to miss having Mondays off but I do have Thursdays off, so I guess it is a nice break in the middle of the week.

Hurricane Irene & The Beginning of Classes
Last time I was going to post I was logged out, and I lost everything so here we go again.
I will start my post off by saying Irene is probably the worst hurricane I have seen in years, and where I live we were right at the edge of that path. I have been in a lesser hurricane like that, and thought it would be nothing. We lost power around 11 Sunday night. My roommates, and I lit candles, and hung around in the living room. We ended up camping there that night. Having no electricity, and lacking food that could be eaten as is, the next day we ordered food from an amazing pizzeria. We finally got the power back Tuesday evening thankfully. I am setting my priorities straight, and have managed to really organize myself for the year which will be really helpful. I have set goals, and plans to get everything done in a timely, and less stressful manner.
I started class Tuesday, and thankfully we only had two classes with icebreaker introductions of ourselves. I hate speaking aloud. My favourite class so far is Colour study, we are going to using Gouache paints, but I don't really know how I feel about those at the moment. I also have History, 2D Design, Drawing, Communications, and Ceramics (only seven weeks). I like the History class because it is set up like a university course where you have lecture than tutourial. The Communications class is a grammar, and how to use Microsoft Office, and since I was in high school I have taken several courses with that as the component, and the same with one university course, it just won't leave me alone!
I made a new friend which is surprising, and different for nervous, and shy me. She is very nice, and we have History together. I thought I wouldn't make any friends because I didn't really make any friends at university because they were all fake.
I am unfortunately on year three of annoyance with Student Loans. I have never been so irritated. They never even contacted me to tell me that I had filled out part of my form wrong. I am also currently working on all their forms that I have to fill out.

Classes Begin Tomorrow
I met my new Japanese Conversation Partner tonight. I enjoy her, but I really miss the one I met this summer. She gave me a cute Hello Kitty cellphone charm, and chocolate. :D I met many others tonight to. They are all very surprised I can speak some Japanese. I really enjoy the program. I was being very shy, and was nervous as heck though. I ran into my friend from last year, and just about cried. I am very unstable due to the fact that last night my boyfriend, and I broke up. I'll live though, and I won't be falling in love again anytime soon, and it was very nice to see her. Classes start tomorrow, but I don't have my history class until 1. :D Yay. I have classes at 7:30 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday though. xD I cut my hours thank god.
