Acadian Bus Lines May Be Back But the Service is Still Awful

 Acadian Lines had a promotion from May 16th, until the 23rd; trips were free if you picked up a ticket in New Brunswick, or Prince Edward Island. I ended up taking advantage of this because it was a once in a life time thing.
The buses were packed since it was a long weekend due to Victoria Day. On my way from Fredericton we were half-an-hour ahead of schedule which is unheard of, there is a first for everything. I had no problem with this at all because usually the bus is about an hour late coming out of Quebec.
I was travelling back on the last day, and this is where the nightmare begin. We arrived in Moncton to transfer like we always do. They loaded the bus around 5:30, and myself, and about 10 others learned the bus was full. We were promised that another bus was coming. We waited until 7 o'clock to find out there was no other bus, and the other bus that was full left about an hour-and-a-half late from Moncton. We were all stranded in Moncton overnight. I got lucky because I have several friends, and my Aunt who live in Moncton. I felt bad for the others, everyone was freaking out, and crying, and I do not blame them.

I called Acadian the next morning. A lot of help that was.... They said they tried to accommodate everyone during the time of the free tickets, and that they did not have enough buses. They also were not going to do anything about the fact that I was stranded in Moncton overnight, and it was all their fault. Completely useless still. I went to the terminal, and was going to pay for a ticket, and then I mentioned the situation that occurred the night before, and the man who was working wasn't working the night before but knew more about it then the employees that had been working that night, and gave me a new free ticket for what had happened.
I am tired of this company, and all the problems they have been giving me for the last four, or so years. It is time they get it together, or just get out of the province. You would think the company would be trying to keep their customers happy after no service for six months but that would never happen. Acadian is suppose to be more stress free than asking a stranger on Kijiji, and it is still about the same. I do not want to travel for a while, and even if I have to I really do not want to take the buses. The only solution is to learn how to drive, and purchase a car.
They now have a promotion on until the end of the month for 50% off adult round trip tickets. They are going to have to do a lot more to bring back some of their customers I can imagine because people are creative, and can find other ways to travel other than the bus company that left us all stranded for six months.
I have sent them another email to the customer service side of the business, and I doubt i will hear anything back because I never heard anything back from the other five emails they sent in the past. Acadian is really good at frustrating their customers.

A Great Weekend Home

I came home for the weekend because I had been summoned for Jury Duty, and someone came up to visit, and brought me home.
I showed them to my favourite spots, and they loved them. We even went to a few places that I have never been in, and it was a great day. I was extremely slow getting up though, haha. Every time I heard a door open I flew to the window to check. I was so excited.
By the time I arrived home I had a little bit of time to relax, and I was out the door again. I met up with a friend, and we went out like we normally would, except no Karaoke, and awesome DJ. We also met up with someone from high school.
Sunday was a rather good day. I went out with a friend, and we enjoyed our traditional trip to the local café for gelato, and lemonade. Gelato is amazing when in season. I then went out for supper with some friends to Pizza Delight. I really love the Grill your Own Bread Bar, which is my favourite part.
Today I got up to the city for jury duty to learn it was going to be up to three days long, but since my address changed I was excused, and thank goodness for that. I went back home, and floated around the house, and slept because I had gotten up super early. I then went out to see my mother, visit another friend, and watch a movie with another friend.
I really had a great weekend.

All Moved In

Last night I went to an Art Auction, and cake walk. It was fun to see a few friends before I left town. I also stopped in at my former work place to see my favourite manager. The cakes were amazing, I love the giant cupcake cake. The art was interesting.
This morning I moved, we drove two hours on the highway. The GPS was great until it said right turn ahead, and Dad turned right, and we had to drive in a circle to get back. We got everything in the house pretty fast. I unpacked a lot of stuff while my Father was still here. We were going to go to the mall but it was closed because part of the roof collapsed. I finished unpacking after Dad left.
I am really starting to wonder if this is the right thing. After I seen the manager, and was out with friends I was almost crying, and the same after Dad left. Also the same after church. I left so much behind....

My Weekend Away

Soo Friday I got on the bus to go see Elena. Her birthday present of course came in the day I left so I didn't get to bring it with me. Damn you customs!
On Friday night we went out to the Fireside a really nice restaurant/bar. The checker was looking at my I'd for an awful long time. Her mother, and her mother's friend came along too. They have lovely martinis but the alcohol, and I weren't getting along so I only had one. They also have amazing food. Their potatoes looked amazing. So good!
Saturday we went shopping. Found some really nice fake Lois Vuiton (probably spelled that wrong), and Chanel things. Went to Winners and tried to find clothes, and a new bag. We went to Sushi Namni because Doraku was closed.
Work calls me twice, no one ever writes down when I am going away... I work tonight too.
Stopped at Japanese Paradise and picked up some Pocky, koala chocolate, milk tea, and more curry mix.

A Good Day, For the Most Part

So, I passed my Beginner's and I only had three multiple choice wrong giving me an 85%, which makes me very happy meaning I passed! I don't have to fret about it anymore. :D I was so scared, and didn't know what to expect. It was expensive though...
So I went, and got my new glasses which I enjoy. I love Italian Design frames.
I now have jeans that will fit my arse! Big laugh eh considering how small I am... I am now a size 1, and I never fit in 00. So that means I gained weight!!! Yay! And yes I am actually trying to gain weight.
I got mail from the Art College, and apparently I did not fill out the entire application so it was withdrawn, and I have to call tomorrow before I go away. I am going down at the end of the month so then I can possibly fix it then. I was hoping it was an acceptance letter. Well I guess you can't have too much happiness in one day... =/
I am going away for the weekend to see a friend that I haven't seen since February. She is going to teach me Gyaru. I am also going to be reading on the bus so that I can do my essay for Tuesday. Damn time goes by fast!!!!
