Interesting Long Weekend

In one week I got my GST, and my Student Loan which is great.
I have been having a great time with the friends I made at school. The problem is when I am with friends I tend to put off my homework, so I skipped Ceramics Friday, and got caught up in all my classes. I also went in on Monday, and finished a project with help because I was cutting mat board, and made some bowls for ceramics. I am glad that this week is the final ceramics class. I had a random elevator ride with the drawing teacher who sang the entire time, and they could hear him on the third floor.
Went out for food Friday night with my roommate, and some others, and most places had a wait. We went to East Side Mario's first, and then Boston Pizza, after calling a few places we decided to stay a Boston Pizza for food, and had a great time.
I got to have Thanksgiving dinner with a friend, her grandparents, and two other people. I would rather have had it with family, but I was told not to come home by my father, and my family where I currently live haven't contacted me since I moved....
Should mention I finally have a small television in my room that I bought from a roommate. Now I can play video games, and watch movies in my room. <3 One of us has to get a mini fridge because our fridge is not big enough for everyone.
Work was quite dead this weekend. No one really wants to buy a suit on a long weekend. We did have a lot of tuxedo returns though.

My 20th Birthday

On the 28th I celebrated my 20th Birthday. It was much better than I expected it to be.
One of my friends came up to visit, my cousin ended up bailing on me. I have some really great cousins....
So besides that we dragged ourselves out of bed early to go to Cora's. My friend got the fruit plate, which I don't remember it's name specifically. I got the Strawberry Satisfaction, and it was the biggest thing I have ever seen, and needless to say I never finished it. I left a tip, sadly mostly in pennies because that is all I have for change, but it was very amusing.
We stopped by at a tattoo shop that I know is really good because everyone talks about. I will be getting my first tattoo August 2nd so stay tuned for that. :)
Unfortunately I did have to work on my birthday but it could have been a lot worse, considering I didn't work until 3. My friend also brought me strawberry shortcake. <3 I managed to get home early because the boss let me go.
We went to a really nice pub/restaurant with amazing food, and drinks. It was an absolute blast. I have never had so much fun for my birthday. Except for maybe that street dance when I turned 18.
My friend helped me finish my strawberry kitchen set, I already owned the teapot, and I now have the sugar bowl, cream jug, and salt, and pepper shakers. She also got me a cute little gold heart necklace. Another friend who came along for the restaurant got me a giant Totoro.
I have been mostly working, but my hours have been cut, but not as bad as when I worked at McDonald's. I managed to get some time off in the next two weeks to go home, and visit which I am rather excited about.

A Weekend Back Home :)

I was so excited to go home this weekend, and I am so glad I did. :)
I got home Friday, and much to my dismay I had the bus driver who is not very nice after I transferred buses, and had him again tonight on my way back.
I hoped off the bus excitedly, and when I did I stopped because there was someone familiar putting gas in their car, after a stare down that lasted a minute, or two I realized it was my high school French teacher from grade 10, and 11. After talking with him I ran across the road to go visit my old co-workers. I was greeted by a friend who snuck up behind me while talking to the workers at the gas station who I am familiar with, I still remember their coffee orders. I also remember quite a few of the other regular's orders.
After this I went downtown to go meet some friend's at my favourite old school diner. My Dad parks in the bar parking lot, and a friend who is at the bar comes out, and jokingly yells at me so I proceed to do it back jokingly. I go in to find my cousin, and a few other people I haven't seen in forever. I also check to see if the karaoke DJ is there, and he is so we joke around for a few minutes. After hanging out with friends at the diner, I head back to the bar just for a round of karaoke, and to be around friends. I ended up going home after this, and got a full night's sleep since I didn't have to work in the morning.
Saturday morning I got up to a bunch of notices on my phone; facebook messages, and text messages. Dad took me to see the damage to his work place because the roof caved in, and the damage is insane. We then went, and visited my Grampy who turned 93. :) He currently has Pneumonia, and Pleurisy in one lung but he seems to be doing okay. I was glad to come home, and see him. My Aunt also came down. We went to the Farmer's Market; I wanted sushi but they sold the last one as I came in it would have been better if I had went earlier, oh well. Went to my first ever Bridal Shower for a friend, and it was a lot of fun, and the food was amazing! I felt nervous because I didn't know many people there, but I did know a few. I hung out with another friend later, and we talked about a whole bunch of stuff. :)
Sunday I didn't set my alarm properly, and no one was around to wake me up so I didn't get up in time for church. :( Next time I am home I am going. So I traded Pokémon with my brother since we have opposite versions. It was fun. I then went out for lunch with two friends at Pizza Delight. They have really good paninis.
The bus ride home was longer than usual, and I am sore from sitting weird. I now have at least one umbrella :), my hair dryer, and metal hangers so I am satisfied. Though I left my tub of cookie dough in the fridge again. :( I'll grab it in two weeks time. :)

Lack of Creativity for a Title

Red Riding Hood was amazing. I love how the story was redone.
So I just work were I work, they hired me because I have two years prior experience at another store but in the two weeks I didn't work things changed. I found out pay days is on Thursday. Hahaha. Also certain sauces cannot be served to a customer just a sauce due to health regulations about the sauces. There is probably other stuff too that I don't know about. Loved the surprise routine visit from the Health Inspector. The person from corporate isn't the same as home, and that makes me sad.
Someone reminded me that my Grandfather's birthday is this weekend, and I am so thankful for that because I do not have it written down for some reason.
So I went on a date tonight. We mostly talked, and during the movie we watched it. We walked. I dislike how awkward I am.

The Snow is Gone

I want circle lenses... I cannot find circle lenses in Toric for the life of me... Not everyone has perfect eyes here! I would love to find grey, or green ones, that aren't around 80$.
Apparently my Dad is playing Pokémon again. I love my Dad. He was amazing at Pokémon Yellow, but he played it so much it burnt the battery out of it. My brother gave him Soul Silver to play.
The snow was all gone this morning. :) It was cold today though.
Orange Pop at work = Orange Fruitopia & Sprite. I also played in the play place on shit the other day. I was cleaning it, and decided to climb all the way up. I still get lost in them.
I have one episode left of SaiKano (Saishuu Heiki Kanojo), then I am going to watch the OVA if I can find it. I find the art style really different, but I love the story. Apparently the manga is different so I might read that too. I have wanted to watch this series forever, and now I am.
I was going to walk to the bus station Friday to go home... I looked at Google maps, not only is it trying to tell me to walk down the highway, the bus station is in a really annoying place, and was before then too. I'll get there faster by metro transit so I shall do that. So excited though!

All Moved In

Last night I went to an Art Auction, and cake walk. It was fun to see a few friends before I left town. I also stopped in at my former work place to see my favourite manager. The cakes were amazing, I love the giant cupcake cake. The art was interesting.
This morning I moved, we drove two hours on the highway. The GPS was great until it said right turn ahead, and Dad turned right, and we had to drive in a circle to get back. We got everything in the house pretty fast. I unpacked a lot of stuff while my Father was still here. We were going to go to the mall but it was closed because part of the roof collapsed. I finished unpacking after Dad left.
I am really starting to wonder if this is the right thing. After I seen the manager, and was out with friends I was almost crying, and the same after Dad left. Also the same after church. I left so much behind....

Christmas Doesn't Feel Like Christmas This Year

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Christmas isn't what it quite used to be... It really doesn't feel like Christmas this year....
As a child I remember going to the neighbour's with my Grandmother when she was delivering presents, and we used to have such nice neighbours. My Grandfather would order Chinese, and we would have it together on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day we would have supper at both of my Grandparent's house sometimes, and other times just one. I would get to see all my Uncle's, and Aunt's, my Mother's siblings too. My other Aunt, my Dad's Sister still comes down to see us.
It all fell apart though after my parents separated, and one of Grandfather's passed away, and my other Grandmother was placed in a Nursing Home. This all happened relatively around the same time too.
It hasn't snowed much, it has mostly been raining....
I love tradition, it's repetitive, yet beautiful, and keeps people together...

Halloween Weekend Vacation

I was away for a week! It was great! (Minus work calling)
I left on the later bus Thursday afternoon, instead of in the morning. The bus arrived at it's destination ten minutes late, but oh well. Also it is the later bus that connects to the city, and it never is usaully busy, well it was that day. My friend picked me up, and she was driving her brother's car, so I didn't recognize it because I hadn't seen it before. We hit this freak hail storm (ice pellets if you want to be politically correct). It was insane, and coming down quite hard. When we got home their dog almost knocked me out again. They have a new kitten because their cat disappeared two months ago. :(
Friday I wandered the town, and got lost. (Nothing new there). I was looking for the art store, and I went the wrong way, I was looking for another store but I forgot where the street was, and kept walking in circles for most of the day. We went out for some awesome spaghetti for supper with some others, and then we went to this fantastic haunted house tour fundraiser. Someone left face crayons in the bathroom so we drew the rainbow lines on our face, and we joked around about screaming rainbow when we were scared. It was very well done, and very scary. It is a great fundraiser. We went to a party but it was quite boring. We got ready at another friend's house, and I left half the stuff I needed where I was staying. I spent a few days reading at their place, reading Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking glass which I finished. I started reading Sense and Sensibility. I got in trouble for loitering at a mall... D: I was reading but since I am not from their I don't even know the rules of the mall, or the fact that the mall had rules like that. We went out one night on the town, and it was some great fun. I kind of figured out the Metro Transit system there too.
I met up with my cousins one day, and we out for lunch. We then went to visit graves of some of the family, my Father's grandparents (My Great Grandparents), My Great Aunt, and Uncle, and another two that I don,t know the relation. Also we went to a cousin's grave that passed away last year... After his death I find that my Father's side of the family fell apart.
Good news. I got accepted to New Brunswick Community College of Craft and Design. The letter was sitting on my bed when I got home. I start in Fall 2011. I am very excited, and I hope to be moving in January.
I cannot believe it is already November. I am very excited for 2011.
