Christmas 2011

Ever since I have been home Jaws has been playing repetitively, as well as How to Train Your Dragon, but I did get to see Doctor Who. I am not a big fan of Jaws because I get scared to easily. I love How to Train Your Dragon. Toothless is so cute, and the animation is amazing. I love Doctor Who but I don't see it often, and it was great to watch a few episodes.
The drive back home was so tiring seeing as I did work a full shift on Sunday.
My friends have been dragging me everywhere. I got to see my best friend the Monday I was back, and we went to get food, and then played some pool, and I won the round against her. We were playing with the jukebox that was in the building as well. Then the other member of the Brat Pack showed up, and we played more pool. My cousin was over the next day, and I got her into World of Warcraft. The next day I got to see my other best friend, and she stayed the night, and we both leveled on World of Warcraft as Death Knights. The next day we went to the city, and I got an awesome panda hoodie (she has a yet hoodie, and we will be taking photos together here soon).
We also went, and did my friend's birthday with her Mom. She made a pyramid cake with a slab cake, and it was amazing.

So Christmas Eve I spent with my Mom, and Dad, and we did the tradition of ordering Chinese Food, and screwed up the order. I watched Sailor Moon S: Hearts on Ice with my Mom. Later I went to my good friend's place who is also a former co-worker/boss, and we did a Brazilian Christmas. I met a bunch of new people who were all very nice. It was quite the enjoyable time.
Today I got to see my Aunt who came down. I love getting to see her. We went through the box of photos I dug out of the closet last time I was home. We went to Christmas supper at my last surviving Grandmother's house like we have for the last few years. It was great to see her as well. She even saved me a tray of treats because she knew I was going to be getting home later than when she gave them out.

What I got for Christmas:
-Fluffy White Mittens
-Mini Purple Flashlight
-Money
-Ridiculous Amount of Chocolate
-Hello Kitty T-Shirt
-LIGHTS Front Row Ticket
-A Ridiculous Amount of Chocolate
-Sweet Petals Bath Set
-Hand Soap, Bodywash, and Shower Gel
-Recipe Book
-Dirty Minds Card Game
-Hot Chocolate with a Cappuccino Candy Cane

Mawaru Penguindrum Review

Spoilers Ahead... (some points may be left out)
Mawaru Penguindrum is done by Ikuhara Kunihiko the director/writer of Revolutionary Girl Utena, and Sailor Moon is an anime series that started in July of this year, end just this week is a mix of a comedy, supernatural, drama, and psychological series.
The series is based off of the Sarin Incident on the subways that occurred in the Tokyo Subways in 1995. Chiemi, and Kenzan Takakura the parents of Kanba, Shoma, and Himari, and killed Momoka Oginome the sister of Ringo Oginome, and good friend of Keijuu Tabuki, and Yuri Tokikago. It also affects Masako Natsume, and Mario Natsume. Now this is where it gets confusing.
Kanba is actually Masako's twin brother, and that makes him a Natsume but he was adopted by the Takakura's after his Grandfather's death. Himari was actually an orphan that Shoma rescued from the Child Broiler, and convinced his parents to adopt her. The only true son of the Takakura's is Shoma.
Momoka had a diary that had a spell that could transfer fate, and she did so to save Yuri, and she also rescued Keijuu from the Child Broiler. She tries to banish Sanatoshi Watase but she only half finishes the Fate Transfer Spell as he interrupts with his own, and he is split into the two Black Bunnies, and Momoka was split into the two penguin hats.
The Takakura's once lived elsewhere but moved, and Himari befriended the two members of Double H (Hikari Utada, and Hibari Isora). They were Triple H until an incident occurred, and Himari could not be part of the group. Her mother Chiemi was in the hospital because when her mother bought her the wrong ribbons she got mad, and accidentally knocked the mirror over, and Chiemi protected her but was injured.
Later we find that she is terminally ill, and she collapses at the aquarium, and a penguin hat that Shoma bought her brings her back to life. While wearing the hat she yells "Seizon Senryaku" (Survival Strategy), and becomes the Princess of Crystal. They are told to find the "Penguindrum" to save Himari's life.
Their first target is Ringo Oginome who has the Diary which is believed to be the Penguindrum. She is obsessed with the Diary, and is believed it is her Destiny to marry Keiju Tabuki. Later she finds she is not suppose to. The Diary is ripped in half, by Natsume who drives by on a motorcycle. Natsume is also after the Penguindrum because Mario has the other penguin hat, and is terminally ill as well.
Himari dies again but Sanetoshi Watase appears, and saves her. He was Dr. Washizuka's (Himari's Doctor) assistant sixteen years ago in the past, and he is a ghost because of the half Transfer of Fate Spell.
Keiju decides that punishment must be dealt to the Takakura Children for what their parents had done in the past. He tries to get Kanba to bring Kenzan who is actually dead they later discover, and Kanba takes the punishment for the family.
All along Kanba has been getting money from the organization his father once ran. He is tailed by Keiju, and Yuri, and Keiju is stabbed by Yuki Tsubasa.
It is revealed later that Shoma, and Himari shared the Fruit of Fate after being attacked by Masako, and later has a conversation with Masako about saving Kanba. Kanba, and Shoma fight, and they decide not to play the facade of the family they have anymore. Shoma sends Himari to their Uncle's while in fact she goes, and finds Kanba. Hibari, and Hikari show up to give Himari a present for the scarves she made for them.
Kanba is working on his parent's old plan to save Himari, and she tries to talk him out of it. She chases after him but ends up at the aquarium, and collapses again. Masako trails Kanba who protects her when the police open fire, and is shot, the organization takes him away, and Masako plays a decoy. She does die momentarily at the mansion, and Sanetoshi saves her. Shoma, is shot by Kanba when he comes for Himari, and wakes later to find the Hat (Momoka) is talking to him. Kanba knows Yuri gave Ringo back the other half of the Diary, and took the other half from Masako, he asks her to team up with him. He plants one of the bombs, and Sanetoshi distracts her, the bomb goes off, and the Diary is burnt to ashes, and Kanba disposes of the other half in the fire as well. He tricked her.
Momoka tells Shoma if he gets on the Train of Fate with Kanba they will find the Penguindrum. Ringo makes into the train as well as Shoma. Ringo knows the Fate Transfer spell, and Sanetoshi replies with: "You're shitting me." Seizon Senryaku occurs, and Himari goes to save Kanba, Shoma has the penguindrum. Ringo yells the spell "Let's share the fruit of fate." Shoma goes to save Ringo, and says Thank you, and I love you, and is consumed by the fire instead. Kanba moves Himari to safety, and disappears. Momoka confronts Sanetoshi leaving taking the hats with her.
The next part is shown, and Masako wakes up from a dream, and finds Mario next to her. She says she had a dream about a twin brother who was very different from her. It then switches to Himari is talking to her Uncle on the phone, and it shows a photo of her parents who are not Chiemi, and Kenzan. Ringo comes over and they have Curry, and Himari looks for the newest CD of Double H after seeing them on TV. Two young boys walk outside resembling Kanba, and Shoma after Himari finds a note in a teddy that says we always love you.

Episode 24 End Card

As the series went on I was more, and more confused until everything was beginning to be explained. I really like the series, and the art. The whole premise of the series was amazing. I have never seen Utena but if it is anything like this then it is a great series. I initially hated Ringo because of her character in the beginning but I grew to like her. I also enjoyed Himari, and Momoka's character.

Acadian Bus Lines Possible Arbitration

I have been watching the Acadian Bus Line situation since before the strike. The company has locked out the workers, and they are on week two of the lock out. In many cities supporters have joined the ranks of Amalgamated Transit Unit 1229 in the picket lines, some with creative posters like the Grinch. This has been happening in Moncton, and Fredericton. An Arbitration Representative has been chosen to pick a side, and if all goes well the buses could be running soon as mentioned in the following article: Arbitration Possible for Acadian Coach Lines. This could be good, or bad depending on where it goes, but it could possibly lift the lock out, and workers could go back to work. This is a crazy time of year to lock-out workers, and discontinue the only intercity coaches in the province. Not only are the New Brunswick students stuck but anyone from elsewhere that isn't travelling by train, car, or plane to specific designations past New Brunswick, or within the province. Some places have organized charter buses while others solutions are finding rides with other students home.
In the end since the workers were going to strike they were locked out so patrons of the service lost either way.
While looking for an image for this article I came across this: Driver is N.S. Bus Plunge Had Previous Crash. Now that is slightly scary. I used VIA Rail in 2010 on the same day as this: VIA Rail Train Derails in Quebec, but thankfully I got off in New Brunswick as I had been coming home from a March Break Trip. This completely scares me off from transportation because you never know when this could occur.

Sailor Moon Items

The Sailor Moon Henshin Broaches.
I have got to say my favourites are the first transformation broach, but more so the manga one because it is fancier. I love the Crystal Star Broach as well. The Cosmic Heart is another favourite. I love the transformation for this one so much. The Moon Crisis Broach
My favourite weapons are the Crescent Moon wand, it has always been one of my favourite. I love the Moon Cutie Rod because I own the toy, and I love the attack Moon Princess Halation. I also like the Moon Kaleidoscope because that attack is beautiful as well. The Tiare, and Spiral Heart Moon Rod also have pretty attacks. The transformation pen is quite cute, and I like the purpose of it.
Between the two chalices I like the first one better. I have not seen a lot of the second one at all.

New Haircut~

Well I guess it isn't really new as I used to have a longer version of it in 2009. I really did miss my front bangs. I really like the layering as well as when my hair is not layered it tends to pull my face down. It looks great with, and without my glasses.
I haven't dyed my hair in a while but when I do again I am going to keep it dark, and order Dariya Palty from online. I love the hair dye because is lasts a lot longer than the drugstore brands here, smells amazing, and the conditioner with it is great. I will probably use Ganache Tarte again; I really like that one.
My hair kind of currently lighter at the bottom due to my bleach blonde incident for shits, and giggles. I have dyed it Ash Brown, and a Dark Brown in between, and it is a mix of browns, black, and my red highlights that come through. My hair grows quite fast so my natural dark brown is there too.

Semester One Coming to a Close

Semester one is coming to a quick close. I cannot wait to be done Foundation year. I am so glad I made some awesome friends though~
I got dumped with all the final projects in one week, and that wasn't too bad except for the broadness of the subject matter we could do which is art, and craft. I decided to do one on Tuxedo colours, and contrasts, and one on Lolita. They were not to bad to work on.
I have been going to all the gallery openings that I can, and visiting galleries when I can.
I joined the Grad Council, and am volunteering as a fashion model for the fashion department.
I am excited for next semester where I finally get to try the studio I really want to do~ I am doing Graphic Design right now, and I did Ceramics already, so next semester I do Fashion, Textiles, Jewelry, and Photography which is a great combination but I can see there being trouble in Jewelry.
Every Sunday that we can we do a different thing at someone's place between the five of us. Last week we played Arkham Horror which is a pretty awesome board game based off of books by H.P. Lovecraft, and we also played Apples to Apples. We watched the Walking Dead Season one another time. We made fajitas, and cupcakes at my place, and watched Tangled, and played Jenga, and Apples to Apples.
The Acadian Bus Line in New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island are going on strike as of last Friday leaving a lot of students stuck for Christmas. Did they ever screw up.

I cannot wait for Christmas Break because I will be completely free to do as I please. World of Warcraft, and my own art~

I woke up to find my poor little hamster dead this morning. She was around eight months old.

Snowball (Russian White Dwarf Hamster) May ??/11 - Decemeber 6/11
She held a special place in my heart from the first moment I saw her.

Acadian Bus Lines New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island Strike

Acadian Lines Intercity Coach picking
up passengers at a designated point
along the routes. (Photo taken by me).
I have been hearing since October that Acadian Bus Lines, an Intercity Coach might go on strike in early, middle, or the end of November. There usually is no, ifs, ands, or buts, there usually is a strike...  Great time to go on strike though, next month is Christmas season, and thousands of university, and college students that use the bus to travel home will be out of luck.
It all started with Acadian Bus Talk Falls Apart - Prince Edward Island, this was released on CBC News on November first, and says there would be a strike starting November first. The management walked out before wages were even discussed. There is all disagreement on the bus drivers scheduled shifts but these are set by rules already made up. The negotiations where shut down a day early.
Today November 24th this: Acadian Lines Workers Give Strike Notice - New Brunswick was released on CBC News. There was negotiations this morning to try, and prevent a walk out. Orleans workers in Quebec received a raise as well as Acadian Nova Scotia workers. New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island workers did not. Most of the Acadian Routes in New Brunswick, are unprofitable. This is because there are a lot of stops at smaller towns, and there are not a lot of customers in those towns that there are stops at.
In my opnion there should be stops at these locations in New Brunswick: Sackville, Moncton, Fredericton, St. John, Miramichi, Campbellton, Edmundston, and St. Stephens.
They are officially not operating as of Friday, December 2nd.
My general opinion on strikes is not a good one. While yes the workers want a raise this is quite the immature way to go about it. It speaks to me as "We want more money, and until something is done about it we shall not work for." It was the same when the teachers went on strike about six years ago, and when my Father's workplace went on strike around ten years ago. Though sometimes there are others that actually want to work, and still get paid depending on the situation that is not a possibility. I use the Acadian Intercity Coaches to travel, and I have received horrible service in the past two years, and this has made me dislike them further

LIGHTS Siberia Tour is Coming to the East Coast~

LIGHTS is coming to Boyce's Farmer's Market, Fredricton, New Brunswick, and Capitol Theatre, Moncton, New Brunswick. I managed to score front row tickets for the Moncton show with a friend. I am so excited. I haven't been to a concert since the 2006 Hillary Duff's Still Most Wanted Tour.
LIGHTS is my favourite musician~ I really wish I could have seen her touring with Owl City though.
Now I leave you with "Toes" from the Album, and Tour Siberia~

Halloween 2011

I was kept so busy this past week working on Halloween stuff. Halloween is a huge even for the school. Every year there is a haunted house competition for all the studios, and usually the foundation year joins a studio since they don't usually get a place. This year was different; the foundation year got the student lounge, and worked with another studio which have a room in the other building which is still under construction. We did an Insane Asylum, and I got to be a guide. It was great fun though with our practice run through one of our zombies grabbed me, and I screamed. I wore my purple plaid Lolita outfit too. I also wore my glasses which I normally don't do with my Lolita outfits.
All the studios but two did a haunted house, and I went to two out of three, or four. They were really good. There were some great scares. There were other haunted houses in the city, and there was one I went to last year that was amazing but I didn't get to go to any other haunted houses. The only one I went through was the studio to win, and it was amazing. They did Fiber Hell as a theme.
Friday was Costume Contest Day. I was rather excited for this. I did a coordination Lolita of "Candy Princess." I wore my Metamorphose Candy Land Popping Balloons dress with the alice bow, socks, pink mary-janes, my wig, and a few other accessories that matched the theme. I even hunted down a cupcake shaped lollipop. I won most creative, and my roommate also won a title as well. This isn't a very flattering photo but it was the only one taken.
I watched the Nightmare Before Christmas on Friday evening with my roommates since I have never seen it before. I have to say I liked it. There are so many movies I haven't seen, because I never got to see them as a kid.
We went to a costume contest Saturday night, and it was great fun. Before this happened we had an episode of the downstairs cat escaping so we ran around in the dark looking for the cat which we eventually caught. I wore a maid costume, and I realized that it left black dye all around my waist, and where it stopped on my arms.
Did Trick-or-Eat Monday night on the official Halloween date. This was my first time attending the event. I only borrowed my roommate's cat ears. It was a lot of fun, and I was in an outside part of the city I have never been to before. Another group's route overlapped ours so we walked for a bit, and then got lost. We did make it back to the car, and dropped our food off, and then the bus came. I met some new people seeing as my roommate found us a group to join.
As of Friday it has officially been a year since I left university to follow something more my style, and that I got accepted to where I am currently going. I couldn't be happier. I have made some great new friends, and I am learning so much.
I got a new brand of contact lenses, and they are a lot more comfortable. They are easier to insert, but I find them quite difficult to remove. I even have new cleaning solution with a contraption that scares me. It is mostly the solution, because I have seen, and heard the horror stories of the solution. I might be able to get coloured lenses, and my doctor will look into it. I am so happy, I may be limited to colour, but oh well. All the time my hopes go up, and down with this subject it gets really hard sometimes but I haven't given up yet.
Now it is time to let my body rest as I am beginning to get sick. I still have to focus on schoolwork though.

Ball-Jointed Dolls

I have be interested in Ball-Jointed Dolls for a few years now. Back when my interest first started I had no one around to help me with any aspect of the hobby, and I had no clue where to look. I have made a friend in college who has helped me out a lot so far. Also one of the teachers at the college does Ball-Jointed Dolls as well.
I ordered my first Doll from Doll-Zone. Lola. I will just be getting her base body with no face-up, and random eyes. I am working on finding wigs, clothing, and the perfect eyes. I am so excited for her to come in.

One of my favourite dolls has to be Volks Lieselotte. She is so pretty. <3

I don't know if I will ever have more than one doll, maybe. It is really exciting though. <3

Interesting Long Weekend

In one week I got my GST, and my Student Loan which is great.
I have been having a great time with the friends I made at school. The problem is when I am with friends I tend to put off my homework, so I skipped Ceramics Friday, and got caught up in all my classes. I also went in on Monday, and finished a project with help because I was cutting mat board, and made some bowls for ceramics. I am glad that this week is the final ceramics class. I had a random elevator ride with the drawing teacher who sang the entire time, and they could hear him on the third floor.
Went out for food Friday night with my roommate, and some others, and most places had a wait. We went to East Side Mario's first, and then Boston Pizza, after calling a few places we decided to stay a Boston Pizza for food, and had a great time.
I got to have Thanksgiving dinner with a friend, her grandparents, and two other people. I would rather have had it with family, but I was told not to come home by my father, and my family where I currently live haven't contacted me since I moved....
Should mention I finally have a small television in my room that I bought from a roommate. Now I can play video games, and watch movies in my room. <3 One of us has to get a mini fridge because our fridge is not big enough for everyone.
Work was quite dead this weekend. No one really wants to buy a suit on a long weekend. We did have a lot of tuxedo returns though.

Busy Weeks

I got help on the throwing wheel this week from a studio tech, and I can now somewhat do it, and I am ecstatic that I can now do it better. I went to my drawing teacher's gallery opening, and I went to another gallery opening of another teacher in the school. They both do amazing work. This week I am going to go have lunch with the dean of the school, and an artist talk with Peter Gibson, a Canadian Graffiti artist from Montreal. It is going to be a great week. Assessment week is coming up soon, and I have no idea what to expect the teachers to say about my work. I am absolutely terrified for it.
I am unfortunately still waiting a while on money from Student Loans. Once again it is a good thing I decided to call, or I would have been screwed for a longer period of time....
I mostly work on the weekends which can be very boring, but it was very busy this weekend due to a buy one, get one free. We are also having another one later in the month.
I picked up my pre-ordered copy of Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns for the DS, and got my little alpaca plushie. I absolutely love the game, but they are getting harder, and harder to play as I love the old system better. I do love the concept of befriending animals which they kept from Animal Parade. The alpaca wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but I still love it anyways.
My iPod is not working properly, and I will have to replace the audio jack in the bottom which I have no clue how to do. I got my Father to ship me my good old Zune, and ordered a new sync cable since my old one doesn't work. I am going to be glad when all that gets here I loved it way more than my iPod. I also uninstalled anything by Apple on my computer; I am not really a big fan of them anyways.

Ceramics Update, and Motivation

So far I am thoroughly enjoying ceramics. I had a small taste of it in high school but I did not enjoy it than, and made quite the atrocious looking teapot. I hated hand throwing at that point, but now I have a better grasp of it. I have done three textured masks, two Jomon pots (pots excavated from Japan, oldest in history), one soft slab vessel, and I am currently working on another which is going to be the reproduction of my ugly teapot from high school. These will be glazed, and hopefully posted after I finish them. From there I will learn a little wheel throwing.
We have seven weeks of each media, and I am really enjoying ceramics. I have another five to do; Graphic Design, Photography, Fashion Design, Textiles, and Jewelry/Metal Working. I am initially going to this school in hopes of Fashion Design, but I am open to the chance I might like something else better. Second semester we have two medias at once.
So the form I filled out wrong, I filled out wrong a second time. It is getting irksome because you would think after three years I would be able to fill out these forms... Apparently I can't.
I have been able to keep rather busy with my homework, and now I work both Saturday, and Sunday because I am the only Customer Sales Assistant left because everyone else has left, or have been fired in the most unprofessional way ever.
I wish I could have been this motivated a lot sooner sometimes but I realize this was the way it was meant to be. I love where I live. (Minus the issues with the one roommate living with me, and underneath me). This city has so much opportunity in it, and amazing schools.

Back Into the Swing of Things

So I am back into full swing of school life, and I am loving it. We aren't going to have a lot of huge tests or anything, just smaller ones which is great. (I fail hardcore at tests) We also write essays occasionally which I may have gotten better at we just have to see what the teacher says. I could never write an essay, and it was never at, or pass the maximum word count, and now I can do it.
I plan on mastering Gouache, and painting more. We are also going to learn a bit of watercolour as well. I love paint, I just need to be re-taught. Getting the gouache opaque can be challenging because each colour mixes differently. We are only allowed to work with cyan, magenta, yellow, white, and black; any other colours that we want we have to mix to get them.
I had the last few Saturdays off which is unusual but now I am working them again because we lost an employee, but we do finally have an assistant manager. I love working Sunday's it is the best day of the week to work, and it is with the best people.

Little Bit of Information

Chances come, and go.
Take them as you can.
What doesn't work throw to the wind.
Let live, and love. Forget those who hurt you.
Be who you want. Live for you alone.
Do not conform to people.
Purge your life of things you don't need occasionally.
Spell check is awesome.
Life can storm you occasionally but you can make the best of it, and turn it around.

Hurricane Irene & The Beginning of Classes

Last time I was going to post I was logged out, and I lost everything so here we go again.
I will start my post off by saying Irene is probably the worst hurricane I have seen in years, and where I live we were right at the edge of that path. I have been in a lesser hurricane like that, and thought it would be nothing. We lost power around 11 Sunday night. My roommates, and I lit candles, and hung around in the living room. We ended up camping there that night. Having no electricity, and lacking food that could be eaten as is, the next day we ordered food from an amazing pizzeria. We finally got the power back Tuesday evening thankfully.
I am setting my priorities straight, and have managed to really organize myself for the year which will be really helpful. I have set goals, and plans to get everything done in a timely, and less stressful manner.
I started class Tuesday, and thankfully we only had two classes with icebreaker introductions of ourselves. I hate speaking aloud. My favourite class so far is Colour study, we are going to using Gouache paints, but I don't really know how I feel about those at the moment. I also have History, 2D Design, Drawing, Communications, and Ceramics (only seven weeks). I like the History class because it is set up like a university course where you have lecture than tutourial. The Communications class is a grammar, and how to use Microsoft Office, and since I was in high school I have taken several courses with that as the component, and the same with one university course, it just won't leave me alone!
I made a new friend which is surprising, and different for nervous, and shy me. She is very nice, and we have History together. I thought I wouldn't make any friends because I didn't really make any friends at university because they were all fake.
I am unfortunately on year three of annoyance with Student Loans. I have never been so irritated. They never even contacted me to tell me that I had filled out part of my form wrong. I am also currently working on all their forms that I have to fill out.

Crazy Good Week

I had a wonderful day at work Tuesday, I tacked ties at work for most of the day. The day before someone finally called from head office to talk to me about the email I sent through customer service. It was nice to talk about it to someone, and a lot of my fears about working there have been assuaged thankfully.
I have been playing the Sims 3. I absolutely love the game. My favourite experience so far was when the fireplace started a fire in the living room, and I tried to put it out, and now there is a large black spot on the floor from the fire. It is quite the entertaining game.
I started watching Mawaru-Penguindrum which is very odd, but I like it so far.
I did quite a bit of baking Thursday night, and it was great fun. After fighting with the squash for an hour I finally had it prepared. I also cooked chicken along with it, and cupcakes earlier in the day.
I tend to clean ambitiously when I do want to clean so one of my room mates, and I tackled cleaning the bathroom on Wednesday which wasn't that bad, and a lot of fun.
Now Orientation was today, and I have been excited about this for weeks! It was so much fun though I didn't make any friends. Nothing new there. I have ceramics this semester.
My blazer, and cutsew finally came in from Qutieland, and I love them both.
It has been quite the good week.
SEIZON SENRYAKU!

Final Summer Trip Home

The complete date of my trip home was altered due to work, what else would cause it.
I went home Wednesday after the boss BlackBerry Messaged me to tell me it was dead, and he was cutting my shift. He said enjoy your day off. I was actually ready for work, just about ready to leave too. Of course I was scheduled to work Sunday, there usually isn't a week where I am not so I had to leave Saturday afternoon.
I just started throwing stuff in a bag to bring home, and then I had to stop myself, and re-pack everything. In my hurry I forgot the present for my friend's adorable little baby boy.
I traveled by bus of course. Acadian is the bus line that runs through the Maritimes; meaning New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Quebec has Orléans. The Quebec bus has Wi-Fi Internet, and leather seats, the leather seats I do not like. I like the Acadian bus line seats better though. Coming home I ended up on two different Orléans buses, and I do not like the leather seats. I had my fun with them again because my departure day I waited for the bus for an hour because it was late out of Montreal again. I wish I could take the train, I love the train, and miss it dearly.
It was rather nice compared to the last time I was home. Thursday was absolutely beautiful, and I had a nice walk around town, and found some people I was looking for. Visits to my favourite diner occurred almost every day but one. Most of the day was spent sitting on a picnic bench talking with friends. Friday I had another friend over, and we reminisced the past, and I dug out and old VHS of anime taped off YTV when I was 13. It wouldn't be a Friday night home if the Brat Pack didn't go out for Karaoke. ♥ Two of us spent the night before listing off songs. It was so much fun, and so many people were there. Saturday was very short lived. :( I went with a friend for a bit then went, and met up with my two friends. I met my friend's baby boy, and he is absolutely precious. One of them told me I would be next to have a kid, and I don't think so. I met up one more time with the Brat Pack, and we took pictures before I left.
In the end though I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to see, including another family member.
My plan is to not go home again until Christmas.
I am going to miss my dear friend who will be leaving for school far away. Hopefully we will see each other at Christmas time.
The college school year starts in a week, and orientation is Friday. I am so excited, and nervous.

First Tattoo

Monday was my tattoo appointment though it was suppose to be the week before on Tuesday after the long weekend. They forced the artist doing my tattoo to go on vacation, and I luckily got my appointment this week. All her references were moved on her too, and luckily I had thought ahead, and printed out a copy. I was very excited, and nervous. I was more scared when I first booked the appointment.

My original design was a lot simpler, and smaller than I spotted these, and decided on them.

Getting the stencil on, and aligned took a few minutes but they are aligned perfectly.

This tattoo was a three hour process, and it was done while I was sitting backwards in a chair. The right side of my back at times I didn't feel anything but I when I did feel it it wasn't that bad. My left side on the other hand hurt quite a bit.
The healing will be a bit since I have quite the case of sensitive skin, and have had it ever since I was a baby. I opted for Lubriderm which is highly recommended if you do not get the Tattoo Goo. The lotion will burn though, and depending on how bad your skin is it can burn a lot. I completely follow the instructions given to me, I rather not risk damage, and such. Getting the bandages off was quite difficult due to the fact it was on my back, and taped awkwardly, and I still have adhesive on my back from the tape. In my case it burned so bad the first time. The healing process can take one to three weeks. I am hoping for a shorter time span of healing.
My awesome roommates, and one of their friends came along to watch, and I am glad someone came along.
Tattoos always mean something to people as well. To me these represent freedom. I enjoy the detail on the wings, it gives them a soft feathery look. I don't know if I will ever get another tattoo, we'll see what the future brings.

No Internet But Enjoying It

Two days after my last post our internet provider disconnected us due to a billing issue, and since our landlord deals with the bill we can't do anything about it, and we still don't have internet. I am being classy, and using McDonald's internet as we speak. I am enjoying no internet but it drives me crazy at the same time.
Might I also add I feel very insulted by my old workplace McDonald's because they slipped me a piece of paper saying hiring full time for September. First of a ll I have a job already, and second of all I am going back to school in September, actually in August. I found it very rude, but apparently they miss me, I don't know why though I sucked at the job.
I am still diligently reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. What a horrible time to lose internet I might add I wanted to try, and get into Pottermore early. ;_;
I went to go get my tattoo done on Tuesday, and my artist went on vacation that day, and never called me. I thankfully got the appointment rescheduled a week from then. It was very upsetting, and I was really excited. I have had this appointment booked since my birthday.
I've mostly been cleaning, and such on my days off.
I have fallen back into gaming, and I am currently laying Paper Mario. I forgot how much I loved that game!
I also have gotten all my mail from the school about the school year, and I am very excited to start at the end of the month. I am also looking forward to my trip home later in the month.

Unbelievable Week, Not in the Good Way

I finally finished The Half-Blood Prince. I am very excited to read the Deathly Hallows. I am actually going to go see The Deathly Hallows Part II again with a friend, non-3D this time thankfully. ♥ I am quite enthralled by the Potter Puppet Pals, and hope to eventually watch A Very Potter Musical.
It has been an awful, and horrible week. Work was my biggest problem. I had gone to work, and I misheard what my boss wanted me to do but I did it later. Then later on during the day I did not fully do my job, and my boss sent me home. This of course clearly upset me, and this is the second time my boss has made me cry. I am not going to lie, yes I made a huge mistake, and I did not fully do my job, but sending me home really never teaches me anything. Rather be understaffed; an unlikely story because I know what it is like to work in an understaffed workplace, and believe me it was busy. I didn't say anything because I am still on probation. We have been nice to each other in the last few days but I must say I feel rather discriminated against as the youngest, and usually only other female on the floor as it is a men's clothing store... I have never been sent home when working at McDonald's if I made a mistake, and we are dealing with customer's food here, they always helped me fix it. I don't mind getting sent home early when it is dead, or if we are overstaffed.
It is pretty bad when I want to go back home, and work at the McDonald's there again. As much as I didn't get along with my boss there I could at least tolerate, and retort against his jokes with some back up. I have never been one to understand or be able to give the air of sarcasm or jokes, and because of said problem my feelings are easily hurt.
Each day getting out of bed has gotten excruciatingly worse... I just do not want to face the day, or work seeing as nothing is going quite right. Sleep isn't coming to easily either.
I miss all my friends home. :( I just want to be home so badly it isn't funny. I can't though.

Days Off~

I have three consecutive days off in a row... I am back to work tomorrow. Would have been nice to have these days off the weekend I went home. I did run into my boss, his boss, and his boss's boss at the mall, and I found it quite amusing.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was amazing in my mind, that will be probably until I read the book. I still feel bad because I have to read the last two books. I want to re-read the entire series, and purchase the adult books. I think it would be great to re-read the series. I did purchase the two books I didn't read; The Half-Blood Prince, and the The Deathly Hallows. I read three chapters of the Half-Blood Prince, and I am not really impressed with the movie. I have always chosen books over movies because they are more descriptive, and allow for imagination.
I have been working on art here, and there but nothing really major.
I have mostly been gaming though. I do own my own Wii now but I can't get the channels from my SD card to work, and I am not paying for them again. It is quite frustrating, and apparently I forgot the data for how far I am in Trauma Center: New Blood, and it was difficult to get up to that point so I have to try, and get that while I am home. I have been playing random games, here, and there, not really sticking to any one game.
I finally went, and got my necklace from Purolator. I have the worst luck with them because they always come when I am at work. I love the necklace I got from Sanrio but I have never owned a wrap necklace before so I might buy a new chain, and modify it but taking the charms off, and adding it to the new chain.
I got to stop buy the asian grocery store again. ♥ I got some Chicken buns, and Pearl Milk Tea in a can. I have been looking for Pearl Milk Tea everywhere. You can get it in a mall downtown but I wouldn't call it real Pearl Milk Tea. I wish I could go to Halifax. ; 3;
I also bought groceries, and it's a proven fact that if there is someone with me I will purchase actual groceries. I also stopped by Value Village with a roommate, and now I have some blazers for work. We all went to Dairy Queen one night, and it was a lot of fun.
Tattoo in less than two weeks. :o I am excited, and scared all at the same time. It is going to be awesome. ♥♥♥ School in a month, and a week. So many exciting things coming up.

Many, Many Things ♥

I am ridiculously addicted to Sims. ♥ Both my roommates play it, and to be honest the last time I played it I didn't enjoy it because I didn't have any help playing the games, and now I have plenty; one of my roommates is the Sims Guru.
I have been floating around the forum Within Hubris, for the Bendrowned/Jadusable CreepyPasta. Speaking of CreepyPastas.... The Luna Game, with My Little Pony was terrifying. My roommate opened it, and came running to us. We watched the rest with her, and it was quite scary. I also played it the next day on my computer the entire way through. I love ponies. ♥
I now have a controller for my computer. ♥ The best part is it is like the old Super Nintendo controller, I could have gotten the even older one but it has less buttons. I love it.
I am very excited for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which I attended the midnight screening regardless of the fact that I work at nine the next morning. I also own all the movies now which I got in a seven disc set for forty dollars which was an extremely lucky find at HMV. I am so sad that it is over, I remember reading those books about ten years ago though admitedly I never read the Half-Blood Prince, and the Deathly Hallows
I have reattached myself to Pokémon Black. I am trying to fill the Pokédex in order, and I currently cannot find the other two elemental monkeys. I keep running into the one I have, or Audinos. I did have some help with the rare Pokémon though. :D
I purchased the items for the strawberry shortcake my grandfather used to make all the time, and made some for my roommates. I love my Grandfather, I have so many memories of him from when I was a kid, we used to have so much fun. He is still alive, just in a nursing home.
Work was inventory, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Ours is annual, and we do it all together, I feel bad for the places that do it once a month, and it is only the store manager *cough*McDonald's*cough* I still cannot believe I don't work there anymore sometimes.
I've got to admit I am having some fun this summer. I do miss being a MASSIE Conversation Partner though, and just last summer in general.

A Very Short-Lived, and Disappointing Trip Home

I went home this weekend for a grand total of two days. I usually am home for longer though.....
I was told I was lucky to get two days off, this is because the store manager changes the schedule all the time, I always get screwed over wherever I work. I just wanted to go home for the weekend. My trip was ruined due to the lack of time.
It poured Saturday, and one of my good friends was working the entire time, and we only briefly saw each other. Also could have went to the zoo! I did spend most of my time with another friend though. It was fun we did a bonfire, but the mosquitoes were horrible even though we were in one of those tents that is suppose to keep the mosquitoes out. :P They came over the next day, and we went out for supper, and talked about Pokémon.
I did go out for karaoke on Friday evening though it sucked without my good friend there, I hung around with someone I don't usually like to hang around. ^^' It was so much fun, and I never usually get that into it but I did. The DJ gave me his phone so I put mine, and my friend's number in it. I also attracted an older gentleman. It was quite awkward, he knows my father, who doesn't back home though. :P
I really wish I could have spent more time back home. :< I begged Dad to drive me back, and thankfully he did, or it would have been a huge waste of time for me because the bus was running late on the way home at the transfer stop. I am really getting tired of there ever increasing horrible service when I take the bus. I got home at 3 on Friday, and would have had to leave at 4 Saturday. I could leave at 10:30 Sunday but I would be late getting to work, and it was rather annoying.

Wonderful Day Off With My Roommates ♥

I had the most lovely day off. ♥ It was uneventful unlike many other subsequent days off.
I went out for lunch with my one of my roommates for lunch at Cora's. ♥ I absolutely love Cora's. We then wandered off to our favourite little shop. ♥ From there we went to the mall to get out tickets for Harry Potter midnight premier next week. ♥ I will be going with my two roommates. We are going to the 3D version because the non-3D version was sold out. I can't see the 3D effects, and never have been able to. ^^'
We had to stop by the grocery store before we went home. It was a very warm walk home. It has been very humid.
We sat down, and played Sims for a little bit. ♥ We then watched movies. We started off with the Princess and the Frog, which wasn't bad but it was not what any of us expected it to be. We then watched Tangled. I am in love with it. ♥ It was an amazing movie. We than watched Disney's Alice in Wonderland. I have only ever seen the book, and watched the Tim Burton version. It was very good.
I didn,t really start watching Disney movies until the 2000 era, I have missed a great deal of them, and I am watching them now as I am older. My next post will be about Disney movies.
I had a great time with my roommates, and I can say I couldn't have found better ones. ♥

Getting Time Off...

So I completely missed the convention. Sadly. Maybe not... I am not exactly happy with how it is run, and this year the date was ridiculous. I wasn't going to go, and then I suddenly hoped back in sometime this year... Well I don't think so next year... I am above, and beyond that, and to me it is a big waste of money.
I heard it was amazing from a few of my friends, and the sad thing was I only had to work Saturday.... Yea.... But still financially it is a bad time for me because all my bills art at the start of each month.
I pretty much do a bunch of cleaning on my day off, and that is about it. I have become so boring, wait.... Was I ever interesting to begin with?
I did party with some people on Canada Day, it was fun, but drama ensued so I left.
I am going home this weekend because I was able to get the time off any other time i.e. The Convention, and the weekend after that... Talk about difficult. My Mom is probably going to take me out for Chinese while I am home which will be great I hope.... I have so many people to visit; I haven't been home in a month.

Natural Skin Care Remedies

So I have been trying some natural remedies to clear up my skin, and so far they are really working.
I love Bubzbeauty's tutourials on YouTube, she is my top favourite guru. Oatmeal as a morning cleanser is amazing, and so much better for your skin rather than using drug store products. I am also excited to try the chocolate facial mask at some point. Also I used MichellePhan's Do-It-Yourself Pore Strips. As well I found a simple do-it-yourself green tea facial scrub, and that is next on my list as well.
So many natural remedies to try. I just would really like to clear up my skin.

My 20th Birthday

On the 28th I celebrated my 20th Birthday. It was much better than I expected it to be.
One of my friends came up to visit, my cousin ended up bailing on me. I have some really great cousins....
So besides that we dragged ourselves out of bed early to go to Cora's. My friend got the fruit plate, which I don't remember it's name specifically. I got the Strawberry Satisfaction, and it was the biggest thing I have ever seen, and needless to say I never finished it. I left a tip, sadly mostly in pennies because that is all I have for change, but it was very amusing.
We stopped by at a tattoo shop that I know is really good because everyone talks about. I will be getting my first tattoo August 2nd so stay tuned for that. :)
Unfortunately I did have to work on my birthday but it could have been a lot worse, considering I didn't work until 3. My friend also brought me strawberry shortcake. <3 I managed to get home early because the boss let me go.
We went to a really nice pub/restaurant with amazing food, and drinks. It was an absolute blast. I have never had so much fun for my birthday. Except for maybe that street dance when I turned 18.
My friend helped me finish my strawberry kitchen set, I already owned the teapot, and I now have the sugar bowl, cream jug, and salt, and pepper shakers. She also got me a cute little gold heart necklace. Another friend who came along for the restaurant got me a giant Totoro.
I have been mostly working, but my hours have been cut, but not as bad as when I worked at McDonald's. I managed to get some time off in the next two weeks to go home, and visit which I am rather excited about.

Mostly Working

So I just might work myself to death. I will not be attending Animaritime because of work, which really doesn't even bother me that much because I need to work, and I need to work period, end of story because I have bills to pay. I felt really awkward at the work outing last week because I was stuck down at the end, and no one was talking to me. I kind of regretted going. But they got some people to move down some, and put me by people to talk to. It was great fun. :) East Side Marios has great bread, and salad. I am going to miss the assistant manager. :(
Other than work I do usually have at the most recently two days off a week so I use one to do chores, and the other I do random things.
My iPod has been replaced thankfully, and I am no longer running around trying to get that solved. I was actually home on the first delivery attempt! Which was amazing.
I now own a hamster, I got it as a birthday present to myself, and I had said that I wanted one since before I moved. It's a Winter White Pearl, and uncommon species of Dwarf Hamsters, and it is also Russian. I named it Snowball, and it is only six, or seven weeks old. I will find out the gender later. Snowball is very hyper, and has been since the first time I laid eyes on it. I also got it an igloo, which it sleeps in, and it is so cute!
I've been having great fun with my roommates, and I am so glad one of my roommates finally has a job so she can stay here. We are going to have so much fun this summer.

Keeping Busy

So it has been about a week, and I have been very busy mostly working. I really do enjoy working at my current job. It keeps me busy, and kills time which I love. The co-workers I really enjoy, though the assistant manager is done on Friday, and that makes me quite sad.
My father came up, and visited me today. :) We put together a bookshelf together. This one is put together correctly unlike the one I left back home. We also went out for lunch. I was really glad my father came to see me.
Lately I have had trouble getting up in the morning. It has been rather cold in the morning which is really odd for June. I also keep changing my alarm to pm, instead of am, which is really annoying if I don't realize it.
I forgot to mention I do not have an iPod at the moment, I was so tired out one night after working both jobs I left it in my pocket, and put it in the wash. Was I ever upset. I put it in rice, but since it is still under warranty I inquired for service. I just sent it away Friday after fighting with the delivery company because they do not listen. They were suppose to hold the package, and not send it anywhere on the third attempt because I knew I would be at work, and they did. I had to travel way out to the industrial park almost in the next town on my day off.
I did take this chance to stop in at an Asian grocery store which was a great adventure. While I was waiting for the cab a nice gentleman who was there gave me a meat bun, needless to say it was really nice, and he didn't have to. I will go back when I have the chance though.

New Job

So I am done my very painful change over of jobs. I was working at both places on days that I could, and this is the second week in a row of doing a straight string of shifts.
I can honestly say I don't feel I am that cut out for this job sometimes. I was told to suck it up today by the boss which really upset me, and then he called me back out back, made me give eye contact, and I felt cornered, and cried. I also wore shorts to work with tights, and apparently I'm not allowed to, and I hadn't been told so before when I did. Good thing there was a Reitman's next door because I didn't have to walk all the way home.
It's rather embarrassing to be the youngest, and only single person there.
I did go out the other night to Pizza Hut with my roommates, one of their mothers, and boyfriend, and it was quite enjoyable.
I am rather confused on what day it is, and I don't know why.
Getting out of bed is difficult because it has been rather cold.

A Great Weekend Home

I came home for the weekend because I had been summoned for Jury Duty, and someone came up to visit, and brought me home.
I showed them to my favourite spots, and they loved them. We even went to a few places that I have never been in, and it was a great day. I was extremely slow getting up though, haha. Every time I heard a door open I flew to the window to check. I was so excited.
By the time I arrived home I had a little bit of time to relax, and I was out the door again. I met up with a friend, and we went out like we normally would, except no Karaoke, and awesome DJ. We also met up with someone from high school.
Sunday was a rather good day. I went out with a friend, and we enjoyed our traditional trip to the local café for gelato, and lemonade. Gelato is amazing when in season. I then went out for supper with some friends to Pizza Delight. I really love the Grill your Own Bread Bar, which is my favourite part.
Today I got up to the city for jury duty to learn it was going to be up to three days long, but since my address changed I was excused, and thank goodness for that. I went back home, and floated around the house, and slept because I had gotten up super early. I then went out to see my mother, visit another friend, and watch a movie with another friend.
I really had a great weekend.

Work, Work, Work

I had my first shift at the new place Tuesday, and I love it so much already. The staff is so nice, and laid back. It is a lot less stressful then my other job. I also worked there Wednesday. There are still a few things I don't have the hang of but I am getting there. I have a week left at McDonald's, and it would have been less but they lost my two weeks notice. Not impressed about that, seriously that is an important document so how can you be so irresponsible to lose that.
I went into my shift two hours early too early Tuesday so I went back home, and they called to tell me not to come in until an hour and a half later, they basically cut my hours on me. Ugh, and talk about crazy busy because it has been especially during the long weekend. The place was a mess, it would help if we had someone who knew how to do the job to clean lobby. So I also worked last night on till, and they took me off it just to clean lobby then cut my hours again. It really is getting old. I almost got rid of the shift so I could go work, and get trained more at my new job, and I couldn't, and then the person I asked came into work anyways.... I got severely ticked off at the management staff as well considering they always yell at me for the stupidest things.
I dropped my change purse in McDonald's the other day, and I knew that was the last place I had it. I had to ask five different managers just to get it back. The one I got it back from said they might have thrown it away.... I am really not getting this store one bit...
I have to keep reminding myself that I have one week left, and it is very frustrating at times, and I am kind of letting my anger show as well.
I am finally off for a few days because I gave my shift away tomorrow because I have guests coming up who are taking me home. I have also worked for a week straight between two jobs. I really hope my hours have accumulated for a decent paycheck.
I seriously do not get paid enough to be cleaning vomit off the floor, and walls at work. I was gagging so bad I had to ask someone to help me clean it up. Talk about gross.
I am off for the next four days so I am rather pleased. :)
